Marcia Miget has been a musician, composer and performer for over 30 years. She has been a vital part of the music education community of Marin County or the last 12 years . No less an artist than Carlos Santana has praised Marcia's music as direct and sincere. Her debut album recorded a few years ago shows a maturity and artistry rare for a first time self-produced artist. A composer of considerable ability, Marcia comes from a musical family where both her parents are talented composers as are her sisters Susie and Mimi. Her son Jaimeo and her daughter Marisha are developing as fine musicians in their own right In the Bay area Marcia has performed with a host of important players including Frank Martin, Wayne Wallace, Teja Bell, and percussionist John Santos. Her most constant musical companion over the last 20 years has been bassist, synthesist and co-parent Dartanyan Brown. The two have crisscrossed the nation for the National Endowment of the Arts, as Jazz Artists In Residence at Universities and High Schools. As a concert artist, Marcia has shared the stage with the likes of Carlos Santana, Chick Corea, Kenny Loggins and is continuing to make contributions to the Bay Area Jazz and world music scenes with her solid grounding in the worlds of classical, Jazz and new music .
