My induction into Iowa's Rock 'n Roll
Hall of Fame was a big honor for me. I thought a lot about what I wanted
to play. Thank goodness it all came off pretty well.
From "Influences" the 1979
album I produced comes the song Strength and Love. It's
a song about time and after 40 years its all still great fun and adventure.

The heart of Rock 'n Roll beats in
many hearts but it started with Chuck, Little Richard, and the crazy guys
like Jerry Lee Lewis.
Johnny B. Goode served up big and noisy
by Maxx G. on Stratocaster and enough moves to make the Bolshoi tired.

You might recognize this tune if you remember
the 60's. Of course if you remember it...you couldn't have been there. heh
heh. Again Maxx G. channeling the greats with his brand of guitar-mania.
Scott Dawson on drums the definition of solid. |

Live Version: Access
Denied IRRHOF show
Original music that crackles with anger,
attitude and resolve. It's about education and the fact that our kids
know that the adults are blowing it. Hmmm...we kinda thought the same
thing in the 60's.
You call this Education?...No Child Left
Behind..? |

Studio Version: Access Denied
The name of this selection is Access
Denied. The title stems from the fact that instead of trust these students
have seen little else but control and mistrust. You shouldn't ask them
what they think-unless you're ready for an honest answer. This song was
4 years in the making and I'm as proud of these young players as I could
ever be.
