If you want to get better on your instrument and be guided by men and women who have dedicated their lives to music then please register for our two weeks of Jazz and American Roots music experiences at North High School. Do You play and instrument or sing? Are you planning on going to college and follow your passion? Have you wanted to get better but didn't know who to ask for help? Would you rather play a musical instrument then just listen to your mp3 player? East Des Moines has always been a hotbed of musical creativity. The reason this camp exists, is that we're convinced that future Hall of Fame musicians are out there waiting to be listened to.

 Jaimeo
Brown, MA Rutgers 2008, will be leading percussion sessions. A Des Moines
native now a working New York City-area professional, Jaimeo will be offering
guidance on musician survival on and off the stage. Working with Dartanyan,
he will demonstrate the process behind a successful rhythm section regardless
of style. You will also get to hear his work with artists like jazz artists
Geri Allen, Greg Tardy and even the rapper Q-Tip. Even non-drummers will
benefit from listening to and learning from Jaimeo's experiences. |
